A novel stretching and folding characterization method based on geometrical and physiological traits of chaotic and intermittent tracking signals

The specification of stretching and folding properties, particularly in time series, is substantial interest. This study sought to perceive the relationship between irregular discontinuities hand motion trajectories during target tracking tasks. In this regard, a new method proposed based on compiling physiological characteristics dynamics’ geometrical traits. Thus, five conditions are designed which participants instructed track different patterns. these experiments, sinusoidal trapezoidal movements with frequencies 0.1 0.3 Hz, as well pseudo-periodic created by summing two sinusoids 0.117 0.278 used visual targets. results illustrate that nonuniform noticeable properties trajectory. Also, largest Lyapunov exponent, correlation dimension, fractal dimension corroborate attractor low-dimensional chaotic. Moreover, compared curvature-based method, its modified version presented taking advantage method. As result, through suggested points discerned regardless discontinuities. can deal systems intermittency both times- state space.
